No alert arrived. Check Alert me by: on that alert. Check that Low Power Mode is off and that SteadyHelm was not swiped away. For Listing Alert on its own, check that SteadyHelm was left open on screen. For Telegram, send a test message from the Telegram screen.
Readings look wrong. Tap Zero again while the boat is sitting normally.
Telegram setup did not work. Tap Clear Telegram Settings and start again from step 1.
The alarm came back after I silenced it. Silence Alarm stops the banner and sound on this phone. For Listing Alert, it also starts the check again from zero, and Telegram reminders stop. If the boat is still leaning, the alerts you chose come back after the time shown under Sensitivity. For Anchor Watch, Telegram messages carry on with a reminder every 5 minutes, and the banner and sound come back if the boat drifts further.
Telegram can send SteadyHelm's alerts to the phone you carry. Set it up in Menu → Alert Methods → Telegram. The screen walks you through six steps.
Leaving a spare phone on the boat? Set up Telegram on your own phone first. Then tap Show QR on your phone and Scan QR on the spare phone to copy the settings across. The spare phone does not need Telegram.
Please note: SteadyHelm is an extra pair of eyes, not a certified safety or navigation device. Phone sensors, GPS and alerts can fail or be delayed. Always keep a proper watch and follow good seamanship.
